A lot has been happening lately. If you’ve stopped by the blog, you might notice it looks a little different. I’m slowly, very slowly, finding my style. My birthday was lovely in the best understated way. I didn’t want big energy for 44, and that felt right. This year I have real goals for myself, and in the spirit of transparency, growing my readership is one of them. I want my words to reach people, because connection is the part of writing that excites me most. It’s terrifying and exhilarating in equal measure.
In a quick recap since I was last here, the Buffalo Bills have hired their head coach, Joe Brady. Upon reflection, I’ve realized something about myself. The messiness is where I wake up the most. I’m currently working in a volunteer capacity for another entity that had its own mess, and I keep seeing the same truth play out. In the middle of mess, magic happens. There’s something about rebuilding, uncertainty, and raw edges that feels alive. So to summarize, I’m wishing Joe, Josh, and all of my beloved Buffalo Bills the very best.
Did you check out my list? You’re going to start seeing more of it in both blog and Instagram form. I’m excited to let those ideas breathe a little and take up space. What are you most intrigued by? That part, the sharing, the conversation, the back and forth, is the whole reason I’m here.
And yes, I’m on Instagram. Apparently followers are part of the modern writing landscape. Some people swear it matters, others think it’s all noise. I’m still figuring out where I land. What I do know is that I care about engagement, about conversation, about building a space where words are shared and responded to. If you’re enjoying what I’m creating, being part of that exchange means more than you know.
Here’s to a year of messy magic, honest goals, and words that find their people. I’m glad you’re here.
